According to the police, Shiv Singh Chauhan (39) and Rajaram Ugrah (57), both residents of Delhi, were arrested by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police on Friday after it received a tip-off about them.
"A tip off was received that the duo would be coming to T-point, Subhash Maidan, near Jama Masjid to supply the drugs, which is used to manufacture party drug "Ecstasy", to one of their contacts. A trap was laid and they were apprehended from the spot. During search, 10 kg of pseudo-ephedrine was recovered from them," said Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav.
During interrogation, Shiv Singh Chauhan reportedly told police that he came in contact with one Ajeet, a drug supplier, who offered him a lucrative deal for supplying the pseudo-ephedrine.
He further came in contact with Ram Ugrah who has a shop in Bhagirath Place. Ajeet used to give pseudo-ephedrine to Chauhan while Ugrah used to pose as a supplier before the person to whom the it was given.
