Drunk youth creates flutter in traffic junction

A youth, allegedly in an inebriated state, caused a flutter when he threatened to commit suicide by cutting his throat with a piece of glass at a traffic signal here today.
As the people were waiting for signal at a junction in the RS Puram locality, the man came near the signal and tried to cut his throat with the glass piece.
Though public tried to intervene, he threatened them by brandishing the glass piece from coming closer to him, police said.
However, police personnel later managed to overpower the man and admitted him to a government hospital.
