According to the MeT department, the day temperature fell in Varanasi. It was appreciably above normal in Jhansi and Agra and normal in the remaining parts of the state.
Hamirpur was the hottest place in the state, where mercury touched a high of 44.6 degrees Celsius.
The weatherman has forecast, rain and thundershowers at isolated places in the state for three days starting from tomorrow.
