DTC to launch point-to-point bus services for office-goers

The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) is all set to start from May 1 point-to-point bus services between residential localities in the suburbs and office areas in central and south Delhi to provide comfortable and seamless travel experience to office-goers.
The initiative will be launched with 20 buses.
"These will be point-to-point services, which means they will not stop anywhere on the way," an official said.
The DTC will operate low-floor, air-conditioned buses which will provide a comfortable and fast journey for office- goers.
These buses will ply at set timings in the morning and evening and will mainly connect the suburbs with central and south Delhi, where a large number of offices is located.
These buses will ply in addition to regular services provided by the DTC, which has a daily ridership of 35 lakh.
