Dutee Chand and Shrabani Nanda were felicitated in a function at the official residence of the Union Minister here in the presence of Union Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs Vijay Goel.
Srabani has qualified for Women's 200m event, while Dutee became the first Indian to qualify in the Women's 100m event after PT Usha in 1980. Both the ace athletes are from Odisha and are from very humble background.
The Minister said he feels proud that both the athletes are from his home state Odisha and both of them have struggled very hard against all odds to reach this point.
