The Rock will play Black Adam, one of the villains in the movie, reported Ace Showbiz.
"No, I don't think it is going to be that far away," he said when asked about "Shazam" release date.
"It's going to be earlier than that. I don't think 2019."
He noted that fans would not have to wait for the movie that long.
Back in October 2014, Warner Bros set the movie to be released on April 5, 2019.
