Dy EC visists Puducherry

Sandeep Saxena today held discussions with officials of the Elections Department of Puducherry on the Assembly poll related preparations.
Official sources said that the meeting reviewed the preparations of electoral rolls in keeping with the directives of the Election Commission that the rolls should be cent percent error free and that all eligible voters are enrolled.
The final publication of the electoral rolls at the end of the summary revision is slated for January 11 covering all the 30 Assembly constituencies spread over Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam regions.
The meeting also reviewed the preparedness of Puducherry administration for the ensuing polls.

Saxena later told newsmen that the mandate of the Commission was that the voters list should be totally error free and that all the eligible voters should be enrolled.
Saxena also expressed satsification over progress of summary revisiion of electoral rolls in Puducherry, which is due for final publication on January 11.
