Eastern Railway conducts mock drill to assess alertness

The safety department of Eastern Railway today conducted a mock drill on the Digha-Malda Express between Jamirghata and Gourmalda stations in Malda Division.
The mock drill was conducted at 2.20 pm to assess the timely alertness of various concerning departments and particularly of the Disaster Management Team, Eastern Railway sources said.
The result of the mock drill was satisfactory and all the departments responded quickly to the incident and rushed to the site for rescue operation, the sources said.
Such mock drills are conducted as safety awareness to assess the response of various service departments in case of any mishaps, the sources said.
