"Now, the Commission, in exercise of power under Rule 12 of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, has further extended the period for filing claims and objections up to September 28, 2015 in respect of the ongoing Electoral Roll Revision Programme," a communication from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) said here.
"With this announcement, claims and objections for inclusion, modifications and deletions may be filed at respective Polling Stations up to September 28," the communication said.
Assembly elections in West Bengal were due next year.
