The Election Commission today registered FIRs against two Trinamool Congress candidates in Cooch Behar district for allegedly interfering with the electoral process and threatening polling personnel.
TMC candidate from Natabari, Rabindranath Ghosh, faced the poll panel's ire after it was found that he violated the secrecy of vote by entering the voting compartment when polling was going on for the sixth and last phase, the officials said.
He is also alleged to have issued threats to the presiding officer in the booth.
Another Trinamool candidate Udyan Guha from Dinahata attracted action for allegedly violating secrecy of vote by entering polling compartment and for obstructing police officials from discharging their duty.

In Dinhata, a case was registered under section 188 of IPC and also under the Representation of People's Act for alleged violation of model code of conduct following complaint from the Returning Officer.
In Natabari, two FIRs were filed in Toofanganj police station against Rabindranath Ghosh, one of which was for intimidation.
The poll panel also removed the Presiding Officer from duty at the booth after receiving the complaint.
"The TMC candidate of Natabari openly threatened the polling officer of dire consequences. Frustration for alienation at its height," CPI(M) state secretary Surjya Kanta Mishra said in a tweet.
