"So far as planning and presentation are concerned, they (district administration) have already got full marks. Now they will have to obtain full marks for performance on polling day," Rakesh said after holding a meeting with officers of the district administration, police and observers on poll preparedness in the district.
"Everything is going as per instruction of the EC here. Mapping of vulnerable areas have been completed, deployment of forces has been done and for every thing there is a plan.
Rakesh had earlier warned of stern action against any attempt to disturb law and order in the state, particularly in Birbhum district where an explosion claimed two lives on April 21.
"The EC knows how to deal with the situation to ensure that the election is free, fair and peaceful. We have medicines for all diseases. Nobody will be spared for violation of the model code of conduct or disrupting law and order," Rakesh had said.
