Edelweiss opens office in Chandigarh

Edelweiss Asset Management Ltd, a part of Edelweiss Group, today opened here its office, which is ninth branch pan India.
"The branch aims to offer enriched opportunities to customers in and around Punjab," said Radhika Gupta, CEO, Edelweiss Asset Management Ltd.
"This move is a part of our geographic expansion strategy. We are very excited for the possibilities arising in this region, as this is our first office in Chandigarh and third office in north India. The branch will enable us to respond better to the investment needs of our growing customer base in the region," Gupta said.
Seemant Shukla, Head of Sales and Business Development, said, "With the opening of this branch we want to establish our franchisee in this growing market. Chandigarh is one of the key economic centres in north India and hence we want to tap the potential of this market through our differentiated client centric offerings."
Edelweiss has an asset base of Rs 38,700 crore with revenue of Rs 6,634 crore and net profit of Rs 609 crore for FY 2016-17, a company statement said.
