Edible, non-edible oils drop on reduced demand

Groundnut oil prices dropped at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to subdued demand from stockists and retailers.
Refined palmolein moved down owing to lack of retail buying support.
In the non-edibles, castorseed bold and castor oil commercial both slipped following subdued demand from shippers and soap industries.
Meanwhile, linseedoil maintained a stable trend in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the edible segment, Groundnutoil fell by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 730 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 740 and Refined palmolein eased by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 551 as against Rs 553 yesterday.

Moving to non-edible segment,castorseeds bold declined by Rs 25 per 100kg Rs 3,925 from Rs 3,950,castoroil commercial moved down by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 815 as compared to Rs 820 previously. Linseedoil closed unchanged at Rs 735 per 10kg.
