Edible, non-edible oils slide on sluggish demand

Groundnut oil dropped at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market today on subdued demand from stockists and retailers amid good arrivals from the producing regions.
Refined palmolein also slipped further following lack of retail buying support.
Elsewhere, in non-edibles, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial eased further owing to subdued demand from shippers and soap manufacturing units.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil dipped by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 960 from thursday's closing level of Rs 970 and Refined palmolein inched down by Re to Rs 502 per 10 kg.
Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold declined by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 3,925 from overnight close of Rs 3,950 and castor oil commercial went down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 815 from Rs 820 previously. However, linseedoil ended unaltered at Rs 775 per 10 kg.
