Edible, non edible oils slide on subdued demand

Groundnut oil prices eased at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market today on lower demand from stockists and retailers.
Refined palomlein also slipped following reduced offtake from retailers.
Castor seeds bold and castor oil commercial declined further on poor demand from shippers and soap industries.
Linseed oil remained stable in the absence of any large scale buying activity.
In edible segment, groundnut oil moved down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 935 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 940.
Refined palmolein also dipped by Rs 7 per 10 kg to Rs 538 from Rs 545.
Castor seeds bold fell Rs 35 per 100 kg to Rs 4,465 from overnight closing level of Rs 4,500 and castor oil commercial slipped by Rs 7 per 10 kg to Rs 923 as against Rs 930 previously. Linseed oil closed unchanged at 780 per 10 kg.
