Edible, non-edible oils strengthen on firm demand

Groundnut oil prices strengthened further at Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here due to firm demand from stockists and retailers.
Refined palmolein rebounded on fresh retail buying support.
In the non-edible, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial and advanced further owing to sustained demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.
Linseedoil maintained a steady trend in the absence of any largescale buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil climbed by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 755 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 750 and refined palmolein edged-up by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 574 from Rs 572.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold rose by Rs 50 per 100kg to Rs 4,200 from Rs 4,150, castor oil commercial moved up by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 870 as against Rs 860 previously. Linseedoil closed unchanged at Rs 735 per 10kg.
