Edible oils continue to slide on reduced demand

Groundnut oil prices declined at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on reduced demand from stockist and retailers.
Refined palmolein continued its slide due to subdued offtake from retailers.
In the non-edible, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial recovered on renewed demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.
Linseed oil maintained a stable trend in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the edible section, Groundnut oil dropped by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 765 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 770 and refined palmolein eased by Rs 3 per 10kg to Rs 520 as against Rs 523 yesterday.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold climbed by Rs 25 per 100kg to Rs 4,175 from Rs 4,150 and castor oil commercial moved up by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 865 as compared to Rs 860 previously. Linseedoil closed unchanged at Rs 760 per 10kg.
