Edible oils drop on reduced demand, ample arrivals

Groundnut oil prices further dropped at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here due to reduced demand from stockists and retailers amid ample arrivals from producing belts.
Refined palmolein slipped due to lack of retail buying support.
In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial surged sharply owing to heavy offtake from shippers and soap industries.
Linseed oil ended stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil fell by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 925 from Friday's closing level of Rs 930 and refined palmolein dipped by Rs 4 per 10kg to Rs 491 as against Rs 495 yesterday.

In non-edible section, castorseed bold jumped by Rs 100 per 100kg to Rs 3,975 from Rs 3,875 and castoroil commercial rose by Rs 20 per 10kg to Rs 825 compared with Rs 805 previously.
Linseedoil closed unchanged at Rs 775 per 10 kg.
