Refined palmolein also slipped on subdued demand from retailers.
Linseed oil gained following fresh demand from paint and allied industries.
Meanwhile, castorseed bold and castoroil commercial oil prices ruled steady in the absence of any major buying activity.
In the futures market, castorseeds continued its downtrend on speculative selling owing to reduced export enquiries.
In the edible segment, Groundnut oil declined by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 1,130 from Friday's closing level of Rs 1,130. Refined palmolein moved down by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 505 from Rs 507.
Castorseeds bold and Castoroil commercial closed unchanged at Rs 3,500 per 100kg and Rs 730 per 10 kg respectively.
Turning to futures, Castorseed for June contract resumed lower at Rs 3,520 and later drifted to Rs 3,460 before finishing at Rs 3,470 from Rs 3,529 yesterday, showing a net fall of Rs 59 per tonne.
