Edible oils weak on global cues, stockists selling

Select edible oils remained weak for the second straight day with prices falling up to Rs 100 per quintal on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on persistent selling by stockists in line with a weakening global trend.
However, non-edible oils moved in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Marketmen said continued selling by stockists in line with a weakening global trend on concern that exports from Malaysia may fall on slowing demand mainly dampened the sentiment.
Meanwhile, palm oil April delivery retreated 1.3 per cent to USD 756 a metric tonne on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil fell by Rs 100 to Rs 7,800 per quintal.
Tracking a weak global trend, palmolein (rbd) and palmolein(Kandla) oils shed another Rs 50 each to Rs 6,200 and Rs 5,800 per quintal, respectively.
Soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils followed suit and slide by Rs 50 each at Rs 7,100 and Rs 6,800 per quintal, respectively.
The following were today's quotations per quintal:
Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,160-1,290.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,800, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,950-2,000, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,250, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,280-1,360, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,365-1,465, Sunflower 6,300, Sesame Mill Delivery 11,500, Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 7,100, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,800, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 5,100, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,100, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,200, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,800, Rice Bran (phy) 3,800 and Coconut (per tin) 1,380-1,430.
Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,350, Mahuwa 4,000, Castor 9,300-9,400, Neem 5,250-5,350, Rice Bran 3,170-3,270 and Palm Fatty 3,225-3,300.
Oilcakes: Groundnut Dehusk 800-850, Sesame 950-1,150, Mustard (New) 1,000-1,025, Mustard 1,200-1,210 and Cottonseed 1,075-1,175.
