EDMC seals several units in Mandoli-Saboli area over pollution

East Delhi Municipal Corporation has sealed several industrial units in Mandoli-Saboli area for flouting NGT norms and causing pollution.
As per the directions of the National Green Tribunal(NGT) action has been taken against nearly two dozen polluting units in under Shahdara (North) zone, said a senior EDMC official.
The industrial units in Mandoli-Saboli area, under Shahdara (North) zone, were served notices for causing pollution.
Five of these units were sealed recently but others could not be acted upon due to unavailability of police force, he said.
Seven factories were sealed by the EDMC team yesterday. Two factory owners vacated their premises on their own.

Today also, five factories were sealed while five others were vacated by the officials, he added.
