Eight policemen sustained injuries after a bus rammed into a police kiosk near the residence of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today.
The policemen were immediately taken to state-run SSKM Hospital.
Police said that an empty bus lost control and hit the kiosk, injuring eight policemen this morning.
The chief minister said that she would ask the police and transport departments to chalk out plans for preventing overtaking and rash driving.
"Every life is important and should not be taken away by such unruly acts", she said.
The injured would be later shifted to a private hospital, the chief minister said.
