Elaborate security arrangements for UP Assembly session

Elaborate security arrangements are being made for the budget session of the Uttar Pradesh assembly beginning February 18, a senior official said today.
Police, PAC, STF and ATS teams will help in the security of the Vidhan Sabha and its premised during the coming session of the state Assembly, IG Law and Order A Satish Ganesh told newspersons here.
Intelligence sleuths in plain clothes, teams of STF and ATS will be deployed besides 11 companies of the PAC are being given to the district police and five others to the SSP, Lucknow for the security of the Vidhan Bhawan, he said.

"Though there is no important dharna programme announced till now on the days of the sitting of the Assembly, directives have been issued to all officials concerned to keep an eye on mobilisation of crowd and make necessary arrangements to ensure proper traffic flow", he said.
Directives have been issued for deployment of anti- sabotage teams, vetting of the casual employees in the Vidhan Bhawan and hotels and dhabas in its vicinity and proper checking and installation of security equipments like the metal detectors and CCTV cameras among others, he said.
To a question Ganesh said that all arrangements are routine and there is no new security input.
