Election officials to distribute booth slips from tomorrow

Election officials in the Union Territory will start issuing booth slips for the May 16 assembly elections to voters at their doorsteps from tomorrow in keeping with the instructions of the Election Commission.
District Election Officer P. Jawahar told reporters here today that the booth level officers will issue the slips to electorate by visiting their homes and would get acknowledgment.
The distribution would be between 6 a.M. And 6 p.M. Till May 11, he said.
Jawahar said that the purpose of the distribution of the slips was to register smooth and speedy polling on May 16 when the Union Territory would go to polls for the 30-member Assembly.

The process of issuing the booth slips would be completed on May 11 as had been directed by the Election commission.
