Addressing a meet-the-press programme of the Thrissur Press Club today, Sudheeran said dominance of 'communal-fascist' forces at the helm of the affairs of the country would be unhealthy for its overall progress based on secularism , equality before law and social justice to all.
Sudheeran said under the circumstances, an administrative set up irrespective of caste, religion, creed and colour was the need of the hour and only the Congress would provide that as it upholds the policies of unity and national integration.
On the row sparked by memoirs of a former inmate of the Mata Amritanandamayi mutt, he said it was understood that action had been initiated against the ashram, adding, it was the bounden duty of the person who made allegations to submit proof to substantiate them.
Similarly, it was essential on the part of the Ashram and its head to prove that the allegations were untrue and baseless and they were the results of the previous enmity and frustration, Sudheeran said.
The ashram has refuted the allegations, describing them as totally unfounded and that the institution had been functioning in a transparent manner.
