No one was injured in the incident. As soon as the wire fell on the train, the Nagpur-based control room's power supply tripped, Betul Railway Station Manager V K Paliwal told PTI.
He said that train 12975 on its way to Jaipur from Mysore arrived at the station around 2.04 pm. After two minutes halt, it chugged off but before it could leave the platform, a wire fell on it from an electricity pole, triggering sparks, he said.
He said that the first stranded train 12975 was given a green signal in around 50 minutes and thereafter two more passenger trains and goods trains were cleared for departure.
