The 47-year-old actress, who compares the art of directing to running a country since women do a better job than men at multitasking, says they are completely fit to run a nation which needs constant attention, reported Variety.
"Directing is multitasking. It's baffling to me... That there aren't more women in politics because running the country is multitasking, and women are notoriously better at that than men.
She also talks about her directorial debut with a "Grey's Anatomy" episode in the ongoing season 13 of the medical drama.
"As far as creativity on 'Grey's,' you're kind of trapped in a hospital and there's only so much you can do, so I wasn't that excited about it creatively," she says.
