Emami Q2 net up 16 per cent at Rs 92.76 crore

FMCG firm Emami today reported 16 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 92.76 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2014.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 79.96 crore during the same period of previous fiscal.
Net sales of the company rose to Rs 489.60 crore for the second quarter, up 20.37 per cent as against Rs 406.74 crore during the same period of previous financial year, Emami Ltd said in a BSE filing.
For the half year period ended September 30, the company posted a net profit of Rs 163.58 crore as against net profit of Rs 140.64 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Net sales of the company for the half year period ended September 30, rose to Rs 971.33 crore as compared to Rs 790.39 crore in same period in the previous fiscal.
Shares of Emami closed marginally up at Rs 759.40 apiece on the BSE.
