Embankment of caustic pond collapses in Jharkhand
The embankment of a caustic pond of a private company on Tuesday collapsed at Mauri, about 55 km from here, a senior state government official said.
"The bund (embankment) of the caustic pond of Hindalco company slid, like a land-slide," the official said, adding that the state government has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
Asked whether there was any casualty following the incident, the official said, "There is no information as yet."
