A group of Emu farmers today raised slogans against Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar over his "indifferent" attitude to their plight.
The incident happened at the Gadkari auditorium here where senior NCP leader and state minister Ganesh Naik was holding his 'janata darbar'.
The farmers alleged that Pawar refused to meet them over their plight.
The farmers said despite the assurance given by the state government earlier, the emu farming has pushed them into red and they are neck deep in debt.
Naik on his part assured the farmers to look into the issue and said he would take up the issue before the Cabinet soon.
