Of the 11 deaths, seven deaths occurred yesterday at BRD Medical College Hospital. The dead include two children each from Gorakhpur and Kushinagar, and one each from Deoria, Siddharthanagar and adjoining Bihar.
According to health officials, as many as 60 fresh encephalitis patients have been admitted to the government hospital here in last 72 hours, taking the total number of admissions since January this year to 1620.
