Junior Engineer Richa Verma of Ajmer Electricity Distribution Corporation's Sikar office and her helper were trapped by a team of Anti-Corruption Bureau in their office in Sikar, IG ACB Smita Srivastava said.
Verma had allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 for issuing electricity connection for a private hospital, Srivastava said, adding, after verification a trap was laid and both the helper and the engineer were arrested.
In another case in Alwar, revenue official Ramkishan Meena was trapped while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 300 from a local resident for entering information related to his land in revenue records. Meena has been arrested.
