Former ISRO Chairman, G Madhavan Nair, today supported efforts by BJP to constitute a third front as an alternative to Congress-led UDF and LDF headed by CPI-M in Kerala.
Nair said there was scope for a third front, which focuses on development, in the state.
He said there was a suggestion that he should play a key role in a 'Rath Yatra' of Hindu organisations to be taken up next month from Kasargod to Thiruvnananthapuram.
The Rath Yatra is being organised under the leadership of Vellappally Natesan, General Secretary of the backward Ezhava community outfit SNDP.
"There is a suggestion. I am thinking (to join)," he said.
Nair said he has no hesitation in associating with the development agenda of the BJP.
"BJP works with a greater aim. It works for development of all sectors and sections," he said.
