Ex-Punjab minister's uncle commits suicide

Amrik Singh, maternal uncle of former Punjab Agriculture minister Sucha Singh Langha, today allegedly committed suicide by swallowing some poisonous substance.
The incident happened near a tubewell in village Manepur, police said adding Amrik was 64-year-old.
Nirmal Singh, a brother of Amrik, told police that Amrik was feeling depressed after a case of cheating was registered against him last year.
Police said they were investigating.
