Excise inspector A Hima Bindu, posted at Badvel village in Kadapa, was caught yesterday while she was taking the bribe from the proprietor of a wine shop to settle a case against his shop, an ACB press release issued here said.
She was produced before Kurnool ACB court yesterday, which sent her in judicial remand for 14 days.
In another case, Dr C V Dasarayya, Head of Department (Orthopedic), Government General Hospital here was nabbed while he was allegedly accepting Rs 10,000 as bribe from a physically challenged person for issuing him the physically disabled certificate, the release said.
