Webb was asked about his perspective about the upcoming "Spider-Man" movie at Comic-Con, while he promoted his new TV show "Limitless", reported Aceshowbiz.
"I'm really psyched that Spider-Man is going back to the Marvel universe, I'm really excited to see that incarnation. And Jon Watts is directing it, I knew him from the old music video days and he'd done some really fantastic music videos so it's super exciting."
"It's sad a little bit to surrender that in a way. But it's as it must be I guess. "Those films were my own films. They were very personal. A lot of people put a lot of effort into them - and Andrew and Emma and I, the producers worked very hard on them... It was a really rewarding experience in many ways.
"The reality is I don't know a lot of what went on. I had heard that it was gonna go back to Marvel and that made me curious to see what was going to unfold."
When asked if he would ever return to the "Spider-Man" franchise, he replied, "Who knows? Never say never.
