Exfinity invests USD 1.5 million in RiverSilica start up

Exfinity, promoted by IT industry leaders - T V Mohandas Pai, Deepak Ghaisas, Girish Paranjpe and V Balakrishnan - today announced investment of USD 1.5 million in RiverSilica Technologies, a city-based start up.
RiverSilica's product line PIXFIX uses innovative patent pending mathematical algorithm to deliver industry standard videos for network constrained environments, the company said.PIXFIX supports live video and on demand video for people to watch anywhere-anyplace through the internet video chain.
"This India built product, we believe will democratise video watching, by providing any place viewing infrastructure," Chairperson of Exfinity Venture Partnerns Balakrishnan said in a statement here.

eBay India to promote Gujarat artwork
* Global eCommerce marketplace eBay has partnered Craftroots to promote Gujarat's craftsmanship across the world.
The partnership will enable global customers access to some of the finest crafts depicting Gujarat's deep rooted culture, eBay said in a statement.
Gujarat has rich legacy of ethnicity and culture which has made the state an epicentre of traditional arts and crafts, it added.

Binny Ltd to foray into real estate space * Chennai-based Binny Ltd has inked a Joint Development Agreement with SPR Group as part of its foray into the real estate sector,through which it proposes to set up an integrated township in the city, subject to approval of its shareholders.
"The Board is informed about the Joint Development Agreement (JDA), finalised by the Company for development of its land for integrated township with SPR Group on Joint Development Model, subject to the approval of shareholders", the company said in a BSE filing.
Besides, the Board accorded "in-principle approval" for merger of Mohan Breweries and Distelleries Ltd,a company under the same management along with the subsidiary Arthos Breweries Ltd with Binny Ltd.
