The accused had taken the girl and her parents to perform some kind of worship when he committed the alleged crime.
Police said the exorcist took the girl to a secluded place and allegedly raped and strangulated her to death when her parents were busy in prayers with their eyes closed.
The exorcist was arrested from Phagua-Bhatta Tirwa Road yesterday, police added.
