Stung by senior AAP leader Kumar Vishwas's praise for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, JD (U) MLA Shoaib Iqbal today asked Arvind Kejriwal to expel him from the party within next three days.
"We give them a deadline of three days to expel Kumar Vishwas and if this does not happen, then on Friday, we will start our campaign against AAP, especially Kumar Vishwas. I am hopeful that Kejriwal will look into this," Iqbal told reporters here.
In an interview to a private news channel, Vishwas yesterday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"The day it (AAP) becomes a typical political party (god forbid), I will quit politics," he had said.
The JD (U) MLA also said he hopes that AAP chief would throw Vishwas out of the party.
"We thought that Kejriwal would take out Vishwas from his party after whatever happened yesterday. Kumar Vishwas has always been saying something against Muslims and later apologizes. But with regret I have to say this that Vishwas' mind works day and night to spread enmity among the people of Delhi and such a person should not stay in AAP at any cost," he added.
He also alleged that Vishwas has several contacts with senior BJP leaders.
"Though it's a party matter, another thing is coming into forefront is that Kumar Vishwas is trying his level best to form a government of BJP in Delhi and has direct connections are with some of the top leaders of BJP.
