Acting on information provided by an arrested ULFA cadre, a police team from Assam's Goalpara district along with the Meghalaya police conducted a search operation in the Rangmkhlang Hills and found a huge quantity of explosives buried in a pit, a police official said.
The explosives recovered include 52 gelatines and 182 detonators along with several metres of fused wire.
The arrested ULFA cadre has been identified as Lambu Asom alias Harinath Rabha who was nabbed by security forces recently along the Assam-Meghalaya border, he said.
