In the last fiscal, goods worth Rs 2,909 crore was exported from Indore SEZ.
"Despite global economic slowdown, importers have shown keen interest in SEZ Indore. We are hopeful that in the current fiscal, export figures would touch Rs 3,000 crore mark," SEZ Assistant Development Commissioner Ravi Changani told PTI.
From April to October 2014, total export from Indore SEZ stood at Rs 2,284 crore, he said.
Changani said that the role pharmaceutical companies in achieving this figure is quite significant and in the current financial year's first seven months, 10 pharma units have exported medicines worth Rs 1,200 crore.
