Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will formally launch the Statewide 'Kanti Velugu', a comprehensive eye check-up programme, in Malkapur village of Medak district on August 15.
Public representatives would launch the eye camps in their respective constituencies simultaneously, an official press release said.
The Chief Minister today reviewed the arrangements made for the programme, along with Ministers and officials of the Medical, Health and Family Welfare Department, the release said.
The officials told the Chief Minister that 812 teams would be deployed for conducting the camps in all the 12,751 village panchayats, it said.
Vision test would be conducted for all citizens of the State and free spectacles, medicines and surgeries for the needy would also be provided, the release added.
