F Shehryar appointed AIR DG

Senior broadcaster F Shehryar has been appointed the Director General of All India Radio (AIR).
Official sources said the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal for appointment of Shehryar, who was the acting DG.
Earlier in February, Prasar Bharati board had forwarded Shehryar's name for the top position at AIR.
