Claiming that a "constant perception" is sought to be created against the work done by the government, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today asked BJP workers not to get confused by it.
"However good work we may do, the perception created (by media) is also important. I won't blame media. It is their job. If they say something nice (about government), their 'dukan-dari' (business) doesn't work," Fadnavis said, addressing a meeting of the state BJP executive here.
"If they have to run their dukan-dari, they have to project that there is a discord among us and all is not well, because that is what makes news," Fadnavis said.
"That is why, a constant perception is sought to be created against the work done by the government," he said.
"A few days before the BJP state executive meeting, some (in media) carried the news that there will be a state cabinet reshuffle and that neither I nor Raosaheb Danve (state BJP chief) will remain in our post," Fadnavis said.
"Let media carry any news, there should be no confusion in the minds of BJP workers," Fadnavis said. "You should remember that this is a battle of perception," he added.
