Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today described the national cleanliness campaign as a people's movement.
The Chief Minister wielded the broom at Girgaon chowpatty here as part of this drive, under the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan'.
The Ganesh idol immersion ended at the chowpatty in wee hours today.
He also urged citizens to participate in the drive in large numbers.
Fadnavis said a large army of 'swachhta' (cleanliness) volunteers would be raised through the campaign.
