Fadnavis urges officials to call meeting on Elephanta island

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis directed officials to call a separate meeting and prepare a plan for the development of Elephanta island.
Fadnavis issued the directive during a review meeting of secretaries responsible for various projects, an official said today.
These projects include coastal road project, metro project, Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, affordable housing project and the Navi Mumbai Airport project.
He said that actual construction of houses should begin at the earliest as per the government's promise of affordable housing to all.
