Fake currency seized, one held in Bulandshahr

A person was today arrested and counterfeit notes with face value of over Rs 23,000 have been seized from him, police said.
Rashid, was held with counterfeit notes of 500, 100 and 50 denominations with face value of Rs 23,200, SSP Anant Dev Tiwari said.
He has confessed that he brought the fake notes from Sambhal district and was involved in the trade for the past 2 years, Tiwari said.
A case in this connection has been registered against him, the SSP said, adding, a manhunt has been launched to trace his accomplice Anwar, who hails from Sambal.
