"In a major achievement, police today arrested a SIM card vendor in Saj Thanamandi who was running a fake SIM racket", a police spokesman said here.
Based on a tip-off, police raided a shop at Saj Thanamandi in Rajouri district and arrested one Waqar Ahmed Bhatti, he said.
During the search a number of SIM cards, two stamps of J&K Bank, Behrote, details of SIM issued on fake identity proofs, two mobile phones and a computer were seized, the spokesman said.
