Farmer dies in lightning

A 32-year-old farmer died after he was struck by lightning and his brother was critically injured in Manoli village in the district today, police said.
The incident occurred when Pandurang Shende and his younger brother Govinda were working in their farm when thundershowers started.
The duo were standing under a tree when a bolt struck them, police said.
While Pandurang died on spot, Govinda was rushed to hospital with severe burn injuries, where his condition is stated to be critical.
