Farmer killed for lodging complaint over land dispute

A farmer was allegedly beaten to death in Shahi area for lodging a complaint over land dispute, police said here today.
50-year-old Om Prakash was attacked by Mahendra, his sons Sushil, Bhoora, Ramesh and Naresh in Basai village last night and beaten to death, it said.
Additional Superintendent of Police Brijesh Srivastava said that Om Prakash had lodged a complaint against Mahendra during tehsil diwas yesterday.
He said that the victim had lodged the complaint against the accused with police earlier as well.
Srivastava said that an FIR has been lodged against the accused and efforts were being made to arrest them.
